Juventus Turin legend Leonardo Bonucci left the club last summer under uncomfortable circumstances. He no longer fitted into Massimiliano Allegri’s plans, and was shown the exit door. Shortly after his departure for Union Berlin in Germany, he spoke of his desire to return to Piedmont to coach Italy’s Old Lady.

Furious with Juventus after his departure, Leonardo Bonucci seems to have come to his senses. In a press conference before Union Berlin’s match against Real Madrid in the Champions League, he reassured everyone that the tension had subsided and that he even dreamed of coaching Juventus Turin one day. “That’s my goal. I want to become a coach, and if I can make it to the footballing elite, Juventus is one of the clubs I’d like to coach. It’s a crucial part of my life. I am grateful to Agnelli , Marotta, Paratici and Nedved, a silent point of reference. And also to the coach who changed me the most and helped me grow: Antonio Conte,” said Leonardo Bonucci.
