It’s the summer mercato. Every club is looking to strengthen its squad for next season. José Mourinho was right to ask for Alvaro Morata to replace the injured Tammy Abraham. But the Special One revealed that his sporting director Tiago Pinto told him it wasn’t possible.
“Tammy was injured on June 5, we are talking 63, 64 days and for me there is a name. There is one, because I’m usually very objective and pragmatic, but it’s not possible to have him: that’s what Pinto told me. Morata? He’s not Mbappé, but I always think, even when we don’t agree, that Pinto wants the same things I do. Our common goal is for the team to achieve the best possible result,” the Special One told Corriere Dello Sport.
