Rocco Comisso, the CEO of Fiorentina, gave an interview to La Repubblica. He mentioned some plagues in Italy like the bureaucracy. He revealed that he had a project to rebuild the Stadio Artemio Franchi, but that he didn’t have the opportunity to do it.
“I love Italy, I love Florence. But bureaucracy is the bane of this country. In Florence, I tried to build the new stadium, but they wouldn’t let me. Europe then blocked the 55 million pesetas for the redevelopment of the area around the stadium, which is considered a monument. America helps you with public funds, here Europe, the government, the region, the municipality, the superintendence get in the way. Lost hopes? As Fiorentina, we are already eliminated. This is my greatest failure, the most painful,” said Rocco Comisso.
