AC Milan has qualified for the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League. This makes Mike Maignan happy as he makes his return to European competition. At the end of the match, the French goalkeeper confided his joy for this qualification and told about his suffering during his absence.
“I am very happy, it is a night that we have prepared very well, with a lot of concentration. I am very happy because I am playing again and I am happy for the fans and for the club. The Champions League is a goal every year and we haven&t played for a long time. This competition is special for this club, the first day at Casa Milan I saw all the cups and we know how much they are worth. I suffered a lot when I was away, I wanted to come back but the calf problem made me stay in the stands. I want to thank everyone who was close to me,” the former Lille man told Sky Sports.
