Claudio Lotito, president of Lazio Rome, spoke out in an interview with Radio Serie A. The Italian sports executive revealed that he receives hundreds of death threats every day. He called for a culture of sporting values to prevent such behavior.
“I receive many calls with death threats, sometimes up to 300 a day. A normal person would probably be scared, but I go forward knowing what I’ve done for soccer. So far, I’ve also been receiving threatening calls from Lazio’s opponents. We need a culture based on sporting values, but in recent years that’s what has been lost,” said the Lazio president.
