Massimo Moratti, president of Inter Milan between 1995 and 2013, spoke to the Gazzetta Dello Sport. He spoke about the Inter team and especially about Simone Inzaghi and his involvement to get results. The former manager said that he would have fired the Italian technician for the lack of results, but kept him for a reason.
“I might have sacked Inzaghi. But he showed he had the character to stay at Inter. Maybe, but I liked the way he managed to stay afloat without drowning. He remained lucid, despite the many critics, and I am also among them. He has shown that he is good, with the right character to be in a place like Inter,” said the Italian industrialist.
