“I learned everything from him”, Donnarumma reveals his idol

Speaking on the social networks of the Italian national team, Gianluigi Donnarumma revealed his greatest footballing role model, and his benchmark as a goalkeeper. None other than Gianluigi Buffon. He revealed that he had learned everything from him.

“Everything. From technique to presence in goal, to the calmness he had. What’s important for a goalkeeper is not to let himself be overloaded by emotions, and I learned everything from him, he was number one in that area. Even when I was in the Milan youth team and I was a ball boy, I was always behind his goal when he was on the pitch, I just had to learn from him,” declared Gigio Donnarumma.
