Andrea Abodi, Italy’s Minister of Sport, has spoken out about Sandro Tonali’s suspension. The country’s leading sporting authority said he hoped the Newcastle United midfielder would learn from the situation. He also sincerely hopes that the former Milanese will appreciate the damage caused to himself and to the system.
“In the meantime, I’hope that Tonali has understood the damage done to himself and the system. Secondly, I cannot comment on the tools with which this decision was made, there is a sporting system and an autonomous justice system that I respect. I hope that clarity will be achieved without hypocrisy or silence”, declared Andrea Abodi on the sidelines of the Mecenate of Sport Award, underway at the Salone d’Honneur in Cuneo.
