AC Milan take on Newcastle this Tuesday in the first round of the UEFA Champions League. In a press conference today, Rossoneri coach Stefano Pioli reflected on the debacle of the Madonnina derby. He revealed that he still feels the weight of failure.
“I’ve been through a lot, I’ve also been through some good ones. I feel the failures of the derby with a lot of weight, I would do anything I have to to change the results. I know I’m coaching a strong team, and I know they’ll be able to react. I am indebted to the fans. Last year, they always supported us, even when we didn’t play well. I’m indebted to them because I’m the coach who has lost the most derbies. But we’ll do our best to make it a very positive season,” declared Stefano Pioli.
