Juventus defender Daniele Rugani admits he “couldn’t breathe” after scoring a late winning goal against Frosinone, and is confident Federico Chiesa will help the team in future games.

Rugani scored a 95th-minute winner in Juventus’s 3-2 victory over Frosinone on Sunday, helping the Old Lady take all three points for the first time in five games. The Juventus players rushed to embrace and celebrate Rugani after his goal, and the Italian defender thoroughly enjoyed the moment. “I couldn’t breathe for 30 seconds, but I’m so happy to have helped the team win and put an end to this difficult moment, which we must put behind us now. We also had a bit of luck today, but this has to be a starting point for us. As I said before, it’s not easy to put an end to difficult moments, but I think Chiesa is improving. He did well in training this week. I’ve seen him in good spirits, so I’m convinced he’ll help us in the coming weeks,” Rugani told DAZN.
