Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini returned to training with the rest of the first-team squad on Friday, just two days before the eagerly-awaited Derby della Capitale against rivals Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico.
According to information provided by Tuttomercatoweb, Pellegrini will undergo tests today to determine whether he’ll be able to play on Sunday. Pellegrini was injured for just over a month during the match against Servette in the Europa League on October 5. It was later confirmed that he had suffered a muscle injury requiring rehabilitation rather than surgery. Pellegrini was then forced to miss Italy’s recent series of international matches against England and Malta in October. The Giallorossi captain has only played five of Roma’s 15 matches in all competitions so far this season.
