The FIGC has confirmed that Matteo Guendouzi’s two-match ban has been reduced to one match, meaning he will be available for Lazio’s next match against Frosinone in Serie A on Saturday evening.

The former Arsenal and Marseille midfielder was one of three Lazio players sent off in the 1-0 defeat by the Rossoneri at the Stadio Olimpico. Guendouzi was the third Biancocelesti player to be disciplined after picking up a second yellow card. The general reaction was that referee Marco Di Bello had been harsh with Geundouzi. He ended up handing out nine yellow cards and three red cards on the night. Di Bello was then hit with a suspension himself after his performance. The FIGC has since confirmed that Guendouzi’s suspension has been reduced from two games to one. Having already missed Lazio’s 2-1 defeat by Udinese on Monday night, he is now available to face Frosinone this weekend.
