Inter stars Lautaro Martinez and Federico Dimarco took part in a full training session with the rest of the team on Thursday, and should be available for the first game of the year against Hellas Verona.

The Argentinian striker and Italian defender had missed the last two games of 2023 due to muscular injuries, but should be back on January 6, 2024, when the Serie A leaders welcome Hellas Verona to the Stadio Meazza. As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, both players trained with the rest of the squad on Thursday morning, and although it is not yet guaranteed that they will start the next match, they will surely be available for Simone Inzaghi. Lautaro is Serie A’s top scorer with 15 goals in 16 league games. He will sign a contract extension this month until 2028. Dimarco has three goals and five assists in 21 appearances in all competitions this season, and signed a new deal until June 2027 last week.
