Inter president Steven Zhang has announced the extension of Beppe Marotta’s contract until 2027 and approved the financial results for the first three months of 2023-24 with an increase in revenue of around 60 million euros.
Inter’s board meeting took place on Friday morning, attended by chairman Zhang remotely from China, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport. Zhang announced the extension of Marotta’s contract until 2027 following the positive sporting results of recent seasons. The Nerazzurri have won two Supercoppa Italia and two Coppa Italia titles under Simone Inzaghi, and reached the Champions League final last season. Marotta’s contract was due to expire next June and, according to La Gazzetta, Piero Ausilio and Dario Baccin are expected to sign new deals with Inter in the coming weeks. The Board of Directors also approved the financial results for the first quarter of 2023-2024. The Nerazzurri increased their revenues by around 60 million euros (+36%) from July to September compared to the same period last year.
