According to reports in numerous Italian media, Inter are still targeting Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini ahead of next season.
As reported by Tuttosport and TMW, directors Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio both have Scalvini at the top of their wish list for next summer. However, Tuttosport reports that a figure of at least €40 million will be required to afford the Italian international. Inter aren’t the only interested party, as Premier League clubs have begun to familiarize themselves with the jewel Atalanta currently has in their ranks. Manchester United could return to Bergamo, following the summer signing of Rasmus Hojlund, to recruit Scalvini next year. There could end up being a real bidding war for Scalvini. And in that case, the Nerazzurri would surely have a hard time getting their man.
