Gianluigi Buffon, Juventus’s historic goalkeeper and now head of the Italian national team’s delegation, was a guest at the first edition of the Serie A Festival, held in Parma, and made some rather interesting statements about the Nazionale.
“We’re arriving well at the Euro, the lads have done a great job this week from a physical point of view. At the moment, Donnarumma is the strongest player in the world, and I’d be hard pressed to find anyone better than him. There are times when we do better and times when we do worse, but I put him ahead of Courtois, Neuer and Ter Stegen. Our ambition is to go all the way and stand out, which gives us confidence and strength. On paper, France, England and Spain may have something extra; when we were in pole position, we always made a bad impression. Germany? It has its ups and downs,” declared Gigi Buffon.
