Roma are keen to recruit a top striker for next season. The Italian club have reportedly set their sights on West Ham’s Gianluca Scamacca.
Roma lost Tammy Abraham to long-term injury at the end of last season. The club from the Italian capital is therefore looking for a replacement for next season. José Mourinho looked into the possibility of signing Alvaro Morata, who had cooled off somewhat with the arrival of Inter and Juventus. Since then, sporting director Tiago Pinto has been sounding out other leads. The most promising seems to be that of Gianluca Scamacca of West Ham United. The two clubs are currently negotiating an expensive loan of 3 to 4 million euros, with the possibility of a buy-back. For the time being, no agreement has been reached.
