PSG midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum spent the season on loan at Roma. Plagued by injuries, the Dutchman had a slow season. Now it’s time for him to choose his next destination. To this question, he wanted to talk to PSG to find out whether he was returning to France or staying in Italy.
“Before deciding, I need to meet PSG because there are a lot of things to clarify. We read that a new coach is coming in, but it doesn’t seem quite clear-cut. If they ask me to stay in Paris, I’ll accept. Last summer, the club put me aside because they wanted me to leave, and I accepted that. Over the course of the year, I spoke several times with Al Khelaifi and Luis Campos,” Wijnaldum told L’Equipe.
