Olympique Lyonnais are going through a very difficult period in the French Ligue 1. Les Gones are bottom of the elite with just one point from four matches. The club’s staff have sacked their current coach and are considering Gennaro Gattuso as their successor.

Laurent Blanc is no longer coach of OL. The French coach has made the Gones’ worst start to a season in the French elite. The club lost first to Racing Club de Strasbourg, then to Montpellier. After a draw in Nice, they lost again to PSG on the fourth day. As a result, the French coach was sacked. To replace him, the Olympic club is said to have its eye on two profiles. The first is Habib Beye, currently with Red Star in the French National League, and the second is Gennaro Gattuso. While Beye is still under contract, Gattuso has been free of any commitments since leaving Valencia. The Italian has a wealth of experience at the highest level, notably with Napoli and AC Milan. This gives him the advantage of sitting on the French club’s bench.
