On the sidelines of the match between Olympique de Marseille and AEK Athens, Gennaro Gattuso was at a press conference. The Italian coach made it clear that he helps the Marseille team in more ways than one. He even helps the players put on their socks before a match. In the rest of his speech, he revealed how he would like his team to be in the future.
“I also train my players to put their socks on properly before they go out on the pitch. Every detail counts. We’ve analyzed our opponents and seen, for example, that they’re very good at set-pieces. We’ve put things in place that have to be respected to the letter. I don’t like it when people simply say: l’OM is playing well. I also want it to be a great team, a winning team. And I don’t want to hear about refereeing, bad luck or misfortune…. If we change this mentality, we’ll build leaders: you don’t become one on your own,” declared Gennaro Gattuso.
