A few days ago, the Rome Public Prosecutor’s Office brought an indictment against Napoli and Aurelio De Laurentiis for false accounting in the transfer of Victor Osimhen from Lille to Napoli. The President of the Italian Football Federation commented on the matter in a recent media interview.
FIGC president Gabriele Gravina admitted he hadn’t yet had official communications, even though he is aware of the situation. “I don’t know what they have checked regarding the specific act and I’m waiting for the formal and official communications which I don’t have at the moment.” However, he is sorry that such a situation should bring discredit on the Italian championship. “Of course, I am sorry because this could generate additional tensions that such a beautiful and exciting championship did not deserve. As a system, we are concerned about these internal disturbances, but we have great confidence in the autonomy of the body of justice,” said Gravina.
