Juventus finished on a high note with a 0-1 win over Udinese. At the end of the match, Massimiliano Allegri took stock of the season. He said he was proud of what the team had produced. He also acknowledged the team’s failings. Finally, he spoke of his future, acknowledging that it depended on the club.

“Before answering, I’d like to say a few words. It’s been a difficult season, but the boys have shown their attachment to the club and their seriousness. After everything that happened, the team finished in third place, 72 points, which is not something you can take away from us. Made under these circumstances, they are worth a lot more, some don’t appreciate it, but it’s a fact. Europa League semi-final, Italian Cup semi-final, we could have done more, especially at the start of the year, but there are a lot of positives. Putting this season aside, the club will show me the business strategies, and I will put my professionalism and seriousness at my disposal, even if I sometimes make mistakes in the choices I make. From tomorrow onwards, everything will depend on the club, and when they have given me the indications, I will try to have another great season. This year we went from fourth to third place, so there’s nothing more to say on that point, and now I’m going on vacation,” declared Massimiliano Allegri at a press conference.
