In a recent media interview, former Roma star Francesco Totti spoke about his club’s new signings, and what could be this season’s objective. For him, the Scudetto is not an attainable goal. He is banking on qualification for the UEFA Champions League, and names Juventus as the favourites.
“Because they’re not equipped to win it, it’s better to be realistic. There are stronger teams, so the objective must be a return to the Champions League, because Roma deserve it. For me, the Scudetto favourites are Juventus, but anything can happen. Mourinho? As a coach and manager, he’s number one, and as a player, having him at a club is ideal. He’s Roma’s extra weapon,” Totti told Radio Serie A.
