Frosinone have officially been promoted to Serie A after beating Reggina 3-1 to move 10 points clear of third place with three games to go in Serie B.

Frosinone currently has 71 points from 35 league games and only second place Genoa, four points behind with three games to play, can prevent them from winning the league title. The winning season has been led by coach Fabio Grosso, best known, of course, for scoring the winning penalty for Italy in the 2006 World Cup final against France. Grosso, who has had previous managerial experience with Juventus Primavera, Bari, Hellas Verona and Brescia, has seen a significant improvement in his team over the course of the season, having finished ninth in Serie B in 2021-22.
