Leonardo Bonucci has definitively left Juventus Turin for Union Berlin in Germany. After making the move official, the Italian defender revealed that it’s special for him to play outside his native country. He appreciates the challenge of playing at the highest level even more.

Leonardo Bonucci is now a Berliner. The defender has joined the Union for a season after reaching an agreement to leave Piedmont. He says he’s happy to have his first experience abroad. “For me, it’s special to go and play abroad, it’s the first time in my career. At the Union, I have the opportunity to play at the highest level again, and to support the team in a difficult three-competition campaign. It’s time to start this new phase of my career,” said Leonardo Bonucci.
