In a recent media appearance, Aurelio De Laurentiis raised the issue of Super League, which has been on everyone’s lips in recent days. The Napoli boss didn’t give a clear opinion on the competition, but believes that the democratization of soccer is a good thing. In his in-depth analysis, he declared that UEFA and FIFA have not brought any modernity to soccer.

“I’ve always been against Super League, from the start I’ve expressed this, but I am in favor of a democratic approach to freedom of enterprise. The fact that UEFA and FIFA no longer have a monopoly can only be beneficial for soccer, because these institutions need to be overcome, as they have not modernized soccer, but rather aged it. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis put it this way in an interview with TG1.
