Juventus star Federico Chiesa is looking to be fit enough to play in the second leg of the Europa League round of 16 against FC Nantes.
The 25-year-old Italian winger returned after a nearly 12-month absence in November last year, finally taking the field after rupturing his cruciate ligament in January 2022. Chiesa has started to play more regularly for Juventus in recent weeks, but was forced to miss the 2-0 win over Spezia due to a slight muscle strain suffered in the 1-1 draw against Nantes last week. As pointed out by Calciomercato.com, Chiesa briefly participated in the training session with his Juventus teammates before splitting to continue his personalized diet. Coach Massimiliano Allegri will make his final decision today, but it is likely that Chiesa will join his teammates for the trip to France regardless, possibly coming off the bench in the second half.
