Juventus are hoping to sign Federico Chiesa, but the winger shows no interest in sitting down to discuss an extension.
The 26-year-old Italian’s contract with the Bianconeri expires in less than two years, and the club is aware of the widespread interest in its winger and is therefore considering offering him a new five-year contract. Chiesa has often struggled to perform at his best in Massimiliano Allegri’s pragmatic system, and recent reports claimed that his future with Juventus could be linked to the decisions of their coaches. This season, he has scored five goals and provided two assists in 15 league games. As reported by Corriere dello Sport via TMW, Chiesa is in no hurry to extend his contract with Juventus as he wants to understand the future of the project at the club, uncertain of going forward with Allegri.
