Inter have yet to agree a new deal with Lautaro Martinez, but the club is “convinced” that the star striker will sign a new contract, notes transfer expert Matteo Moretto.

The 26-year-old Argentinian striker is leading the race for the Scudetto this season, scoring 18 goals and providing four assists in his 18 league games, clearly the talismanic figure in Simone Inzaghi’s team. Lautaro’s current contract with Inter expires in June 2026, and the club has absolutely no intention of losing its captain, so discussions with his entourage regarding a new deal have been underway for some time now. Italian transfer expert Matteo Moretto told Fabrizio Romano’s Daily Briefing that Inter are feeling extremely optimistic about contract negotiations with Lautaro, “convinced” that he will sign a new deal with the club in the near future. The 26-year-old striker also wants to stay with the Nerazzurri, so it would take something big to change things in the current state of affairs. Lautaro has become one of the best strikers in European soccer at Inter, scoring 123 goals in 265 games for the club.
