Luciano Spalletti spoke to Francesco Totti by telephone, via Fiorello on Viva Radio Due. The two men discussed a forthcoming meeting in a Rome hospital on the sidelines of a Squadra Azzurra match. An exchange that puts an end to the polemical diatribe between the two men, who played alongside each other at Roma.
The first to speak was Totti: “Good morning sir”. Spalletti immediately replied: “Hello Francesco, I’m very happy to hear from you and I’d be even happier to meet you.” The former Giallorossi captain then seized the opportunity, replying: “The national team is playing in Rome, I think there will be an opportunity to meet, certainly not in front of the cameras”. But the coach reiterated what he had already said about the venue: “It would be nice to meet at the Bambin Gesù. I would prefer to offer a moment like this to many children we know and with whom we have shared the emotions of Roma”. Finally, Totti is fine: “Okay, okay, if I don’t leave, that’s for sure.”
