Bologna fears that Lewis Ferguson may have suffered a knee injury in Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Monza, and the Scottish international will undergo medical tests in the coming hours.

Bologna midfielder Ferguson was forced off the pitch in the second half of a 0-0 draw with Monza on Saturday and will undergo medical tests today. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the 24-year-old left the Stadio Dall’Ara on crutches on Saturday and told fans he’feared he wouldn’t be eligible for the next Serie A match against direct rivals Roma. According to Gazzetta, Bologna doctors feared the Scotland international had suffered a cruciate ligament injury that would keep him out of action for several months. Ferguson has played a key role at the Stadio Dall’Ara this season, with six goals and five assists in 33 appearances in all competitions. He started 31 of 32 Serie A matches, missing just one through suspension.
