Roma director Tiago Pinto reportedly reassured a Roma fan that Paulo Dybala would remain at the Stadio Olimpico this summer: “Where else should he go?”
The Argentine striker signed a three-year contract with the Giallorossi last summer, joining as a free agent after his contract with Juventus ended. He quickly became a cornerstone of Jose Mourinho’s Roma, scoring 16 goals in 33 appearances in all competitions and providing eight assists. Roma fans are concerned, as Dybala has a €20 million clause included in his contract, available to Serie A clubs, while teams outside Italy can get his signature for just €12 million. However, according to Romanews, who had a reporter outside Trigoria on Saturday, Tiago Pinto reassured a fan who had asked for updates on the Argentine’s future: “Dybala will stay, where else should he go?” Pinto reportedly told the worried fan.
The Giallorossi have the possibility to cancel Dybala’s release clauses by increasing his salary this summer. They will soon meet with the striker’s entourage, hoping to keep La Joya at the Stadio Olimpico in 2023-24.
