Roma are struggling to find a striker this summer to replace the injured Tammy Abraham. The club has explored several avenues without success so far. Most recently, the club set its sights on Duvan Zapata, and the deal seemed to be done. But the latest news is that Dea is no longer prepared to release him.
Duvan Zapata may not be going to Roma this summer. However, the Giallorossi have every interest in signing the Colombian. They have proposed a three-year contract with an annual fee of around 2.7 million euros. After agreeing personal terms with the player, Roma made an offer of 5 million euros plus bonuses to the Bergamo club. However, the Bergamo club has now rejected the offer. Gian Piero Gasperini’s club are asking for €8 million in fixed terms and €2 million in bonuses. José Mourinho’s team consider this sum to be too expensive for the time being.
