It’s the international break. Most players are regrouping with their clubs. This was the case for Danilo, who took part in the match between Brazil and Venezuela (1-1). The Juventus defender is injured and therefore doubtful for the Old Lady’s next match, against AC Milan.
Danilo had to cut short his international break after suffering a muscle injury during the match between Brazil and Venezuela. He has already been disqualified from the second match against Uruguay. He is due to return to Turin for treatment. But the club is already holding its breath. He could miss the important match against Serie A leaders AC Milan in nine days’ time. The player blames the very tight schedule, which does the players no favours. “It’s a normal muscle injury. We are subject to these things with a schedule like this which isn’t easy to manage. Especially if we’re talking about the South American qualifiers, where you have to take into account long journeys, time zones and adapting to the climate,” Danilo told SporTV after his injury.
