After eight years with Napoli’s sporting directorate, Cristiano Giuntoli is packing his bags. The former Italian player officially left the Neapolitan club on Saturday.
Cristiano Giuntoli turned the page on Napoli on Saturday. He officially left his position as sporting director by mutual agreement with the Partenopei’s directors. “Calcio Napoli would like to thank Cristiano Giuntoli for 8 years of collaboration with President Aurelio De Laurentiis, CEO Andrea Chiavelli and the coaches who have worked with the team,” wrote the Italian club on its official website. Cristiano Giuntoli took over as Napoli sporting director in 2015. In the eight years of his reign, he has been able to metamorphose the team with star recruits such as Victor Osimhen, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia and Kim Min-jae. The latter were instrumental in Napoli’s Serie A title triumph this season. Giuntoli’s likely destination is Juventus.
