The body of a man was found in the parking lot beneath the Diego Armando Maradona stadium after the 2-2 draw between Napoli and AC Milan on Sunday evening, Neapolitan media reported.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports how the body of a 42-year-old man was discovered during the night in the abandoned parking lot beneath the stadium guest stands. A friend of the victim told police that the two of them had sneaked into the stadium through a tunnel, trying to reach the stands without a ticket for the match. The victim, from Bacoli in the province of Naples, was the first to arrive and climbed up in an attempt to gain further access to the stadium, but fell from a height of around 20 metres to the ground. Her friend’s access was blocked by a fallen beam and he gave up trying to get in.
