There’s no stopping Como, back in Serie A after a 21-year absence and coached by legend Cesc Fabregas. The Italian club has already recruited big names such as Raphaël Varane, Pepe Reina and Alberto Moreno, and has no intention of stopping there. In fact, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, two other major transfers are about to be finalized.
Sergi Roberto, 32, is free of contract after a long career with FC Barcelona, where he won everything, and is expected to sign his contract today. The other new recruit is Nico Paz, a 19-year-old central defender and prospect from Real Madrid, a transfer worth 6.5 million euros, but the Merengues will receive 50% of the profits from any future resale.
