Yann Sommer has a €6 million release clause in his current contract with Bayern Munich. However, the deal stipulates that this sum will be reduced by almost half if the goalkeeper starts a new season with the Bavarian club. This news could ease Inter’s acquisition costs.
On August 12, Bayern take on RB Leipzig in the German Supercup. Yann Sommer, who is currently in the sights of Inter, is set to play in this match. His contract with the Rekordmeister stipulates a €6 million release clause. However, this is reduced to 3.5 million if he plays the above-mentioned match. This could ease the Lombardy club’s expenses. However, they will also have to start Serie A without a goalkeeper.
