Former Italy and Juventus captain Giorgio Chiellini and his current team LAFC have booked their place in the MLS Cup final after being crowned Western Conference champions on Saturday night.
The Los Angeles team claimed a 2-0 victory over the Houston Dynamo at their home BMO Stadium to book their place in the final match of the MLS calendar. Chiellini was heavily involved in LAFC’s first match against Houston on Saturday. LAFC will now face Columbus Crew in the MLS Cup final on Saturday December 9. For Chiellini, who left Juventus for Los Angeles in the summer of 2022, this will be his second MLS Cup in as many years, having already been crowned league champion in November 2022.
