Champions League, the official awards 21/22: here’s how much the Italian clubs have collected

UEFA has published its financial report for the 2021-22 season, revealing that the four clubs participating in the Champions League earned more than 200 million euros.

Securing a top-four finish in Serie A is a key objective for top clubs. Maurizio Sarri emphasized this after Lazio’s 1-0 win over Napoli on Friday, noting how qualifying for several consecutive years allows a team “to make a leap in quality. As detailed by Calcio e Finanza, Juventus has made the most of the Italian clubs in the Champions League in 2021-22, earning just over 77 million euros from qualifying for the round of 16.

Inter were behind in second place, collecting €62.6 million after their qualification to the round of 16. AC Milan earned only about 45 million euros after finishing fourth in their group, and Atalanta earned about 33 million euros after exiting the group stage.
