Bologna director Claudio Fenucci insists the Rossoblu want to keep Thiago Motta, Joshua Zirkzee and their top players beyond the summer, and believes the coach has a “longer contract”.

Bologna occupy fourth place in the Serie A standings, so they are in the running to qualify for the Champions League 2024-25.
Motta’s contract expires in the summer, and several top clubs, including AC Milan, Juventus and Manchester United, are reportedly interested in the former Italy international. However, the Rossoblu will be fighting to keep Motta at the Stadio Dall’Ara next season. “The coach has been the architect of this growth, and we hope he and the players will stay. Thiago is happy at Bologna, it’s as if he had a longer contract. As for Joshua, we don’t like to talk about our players’future; we prefer to live in the present because there’s a lot of enthusiasm. We want to keep everyone. Qualifying for Europe would be an excellent signal for Italian soccer,” Fenucci told Radio 1, as quoted by TMW. Bologna lost 1-0 to Inter on Saturday, but have won 14 of 28 games this season and enjoy a three-point lead over Roma, fifth in the Serie A table.
