Shortly before his appearance at the RCS Sport Industry Talk event, Inter Milan president Beppe Marotta was asked about the extension of the contracts of Lautaro Martinez and Federico Dimarco. The Lombardy club boss gave an idea of when these renewals will take place.
Lautaro Martinez will see his contract expire in the summer of 2026. But the club has expressed its desire to extend his contract. This is also the case for Federico Dimarco, whose contract expires at the same time. The Azzurri are also keen to keep hold of the Italian defender. To this end, Beppe Marotta has stated that renewals should take place this year or next year at the most. “We don’t have precise deadlines, these are extensions where there are two players who intend to finalize in a positive way. If it isn’t by the end of 2023, it will be by the beginning of 2024,” said Beppe Marotta.
