Just as Inter had increased their offer for Benjamin Pavard, it is reported that the defender will instead stay at Bayern Munich.
According to Sky Sports Deutschland, negotiations were abandoned last night, with the club slamming the door on any possible exit. The Nerazzurri had raised their offer to €25 million plus €5 million in bonuses, according to Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia. German sources had suggested €30 million plus add-ons, and that the asking price was €40 million with additional performance-related bonuses. Pavard will remain in the Bundesliga and is therefore likely to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich. His current contract is due to expire at the end of the season. If he does not sign a new contract, he could leave as a free agent next summer.
