Stefano Pioli is the target of Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis. The latter is looking for a replacement to succeed Francesco Calzona next season. He has therefore set his sights on the current AC Milan coach.
Stefano Pioli is set to leave the Rossoneri at the end of the season. The 58-year-old is expected to leave the Lombardy club on an amicable agreement. Napoli, who are looking for a new coach to replace the interim Francesco Calzona after the failures of Garcia and Mazzari, are trying to attract the Pioli native. He is an interesting profile who could bring his experience and expertise to Victor Osimhen’s club. Indeed, Pioli helped AC Milan win their first Scudetto since 2011 in 2022. With 25 years of coaching experience in Italy, he has a thorough command of the league. In addition to the Parma native, Vincenzo Italiano of Fiorentina and Gian Piero Gasperini of Atalanta are also options open to De Laurentiis.
