Atalanta have officially announced the definitive signing of Malian striker El-Bilal Touré from UD Almeria.
It’s widely believed that Atalanta paid a club-record fee to bring Toure to Bergamo, at 30 million euros. There had been plenty of interest in the 21-year-old, particularly from Premier League outfit Everton, but according to several reports, Toure decided several weeks ago that Atalanta would be the best next step in his career. “Atalanta BC announces that it has definitively acquired the rights to player El Bilal Touré from Union Deportivo Almería. Atalanta BC welcomes El Bilal Traoré, wishing him all the best under the Atalanta club jersey, both personally and within the team,” reads the club’s website.
