The alarm bells are ringing in today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport. Juventus adopted a clear strategy this summer, excluding eight players from the pro squad: Rugani, McKennie, Chiesa, Djalo (who arrived in January), Arthur, Kostic, De Sciglio and Szczesny, who has just amicably terminated his contract. However, they are struggling to recruit in key positions, so for the time being, when they face Como on Monday for their Serie A season opener, they will be able to count on just a dozen outfield players.
The survivors of Thiago Motta’s summer revolution are Cambiaso at right-back, Bremer, Danilo and Gatti at centre-back, and Cabal at left-back. In midfield are Locatelli, Douglas Luiz, Thuram and Fagioli, on the wings Weah and Yildiz, and in front Vlahovic and Milik. Rounding out the squad are youngsters Savona and Rouhi, promoted from the Next Gen team. Miretti and Adzic are injured.
