Napoli are on the verge of convincing Antonio Conte to sign on. According to Il Mattino, Aurelio De Laurentiis will release €230 million for the summer transfer window.
Napoli are in advanced talks with Antonio Conte to become their new head coach. De Laurentiis said earlier this week that the next ten days would be decisive, but several reports claim that the Italian tactician already has an agreement in principle on a deal worth €8 million a year until 2027. The latest report from Il Mattino claims that Napoli will invest €60 million gross over three years for the Italian tactician. According to the report, Conte has been promised a transfer budget of €230 million, which probably includes Napoli’s €130 million plan to obtain from the sale of Victor Osimhen. Conte’s staff will include Christian Stellini, the brother of coach Gianluca, and former Italian striker Elvis Abbruscato, who played under Conte at Arezzo. Conte, a former Juventus and Inter coach, could also help De Laurentiis develop the club’s training facilities, which are far from Europe’s highest quality standards.
