Antonio Conte, the current Tottenham manager, will see his contract expire in the summer of 2023. As his return to Italy is announced, the 53-year-old told the Guardian about his future. For the time being, the Spurs manager is not thinking too much about a repatriation because of several reasons, most of them of a family nature.
“Having family in Italy is certainly not a good thing. But if your daughter goes to school, you have to respect her, you can’t uproot her from her environment every two years. I don’t want to ruin my family’s life. This season has also been very heavy for personal reasons. When certain things happen, you make important reflections about the future. Too often we put a lot of emphasis on work, neglecting family. We forget that we need to spend more time with ourselves, our family and our friends. Because work is not everything in life,” said the Italian technician.
