Sandro Tonali, Ivan Provedel and Leonardo Spinazzola will not be available for Italy against Ukraine this evening, and according to Sky Sport Italia, the Newcastle midfielder has suffered a slight muscle injury.
Tonali started Italy’s 1-1 draw with Northern Macedonia on Saturday and has been training in Milanello in recent days ahead of tonight’s Euro 2024 qualifier against Ukraine. However, according to Sky Sport Italia, the 23-year-old will not be available against the Ukrainians due to a slight muscle injury. Of course, Tonali has not been called up for the match, and the same goes for Lazio goalkeeper Provedel and Roma left-back Spinazzola. The Azzurri must beat Ukraine to keep their qualification hopes alive. They have a game in hand but are three points behind tonight’s opponents, second in Group C led by England.
