The Giallorossi have suddenly announced the immediate termination of their working relationship with the company’s CEO Pietro Berardi, just days after he was named among those under investigation for inflated capital gains.
“AS Roma informs that the competent social bodies have decided to terminate, with immediate effect, all relations between AS Roma, the group companies and Mr. Pietro Berardi. The club wishes Pietro all the best in his future endeavors,” the statement said. Berardi had been with the club for two years, taking on the role of CEO in October 2021. He was one of seven current and former directors being investigated as part of a wider probe into clubs artificially inflating transfer fees to increase capital gains.
